As Teenagers, what are some things you wish that you could say it to your parents? Well, here are some things that teens wish to say to their parents:

1. Admit when they’re wrong.

As a parent, admitting that you made a mistake is always difficult. And parents have that notion when they admit their mistakes, they are giving up their authority.

Admitting that you made a mistake is a show of strength and not weakness. It is a process on how effective your parenting is.

2. Affirm once in a while.

Affirming your teens character is one of the best and cheapest ways to build up your child. You can complement the effort and character and not just the talent and looks of the child.

3. Don’t dismiss my feelings as moodiness.

There are times that your child is feeling “real feelings” and you just dismiss it like ” Oh, she’s just moody”.  So, We, don’t have to pay attention to. But you know if you could sympathize with your child, it’d be great.

4. Ask my opinion.

This one goes a long way like a relationship standpoint.  It is crucial between a parent and a teenager. You let them feel that they have a say in things. You involve them in decision-making and able to speak up whatever they have in mind.

5. Talking is hard sometimes.

Your children find it hard to engage or take the time to engage with their parents. Communication is always the key to building up parent and child good relationship.

6. Just be honest.

You can be honest with your child no matter how awkward the situation is. And how hard it may feel.

It is the truth that always matters.

7. Be Relatable.

Parents should at least be updated to their kids. Knowing their favourite food, things to do and the way they react to a certain situation. That way you are relating more of them as an individual. And keeping that connection open is always a must.
